Hi bought my teenage dream car last march 2018 a 1990 mk1 golf cabriolet in paprika red. Looked solid and us really but wanted it to be so much better cant remember the full list of jobs I've done but I'm more than 3k in and it doesn't seem any different.i want it mint but slowly realising that's going to take time and money. Il post some photos

Just enjoy driving it as that's what a cars all about…. What would you do in the evening and weekends if you didn’t have a Mk1 to tinker with….

Good to hear you are driving it, no point in keeping a car locked up in a garage, polishing it and never driving it so no one sees it and you don't enjoy it….
If you intended to keep it for for some time then there's plenty of time to get it tip top…

It's so hard creating a show car…..and then keeping it that way. If it's a daily driver it's pretty much impossible. I have had mine stripped to bare shell and even then it's hard unless your doing it all yourself or have BIG money to spend on others doing it. The better you make one area the more the areas not so great stand out!
