thanks to a tip from a lad at work i found this little beauty for sale last night and bought it on the spot…. the whole front end has been seam welded and smoothed which is a little different. engine is a little tired looking and some bright spark has painted the whole thing black, but it fire's first time and runs sweet as a nut! interior is the original christmas cabrio edition stuff but its in a real bad state, so thats coming out too! plan is to tidy up the interior, put a nice roof on it and run it for the summer! its running on coilovers wound right down and banded steels. these will be going too i think! (and the coilovers raised up a little!) anyway heres some pictures

she needs a good clean and polish but im pretty sure she'll tidy up nice!!

im after an interior,
some nice wheels

Thanks Matt it's defiantly a little different! I have it a quick pressure wash yesterday it's came up real nice! Not sure about the front end yet might put some form of bumper on it and change the plates… I love the back end tho just needs so fatter wheels on! Just ordered a new rad, temp sensor, fan switch and thermostat etc so will be fitting those next week!

Welcome, looks like a lot of smoothing has gone on.

Where are the indicators on the front?

Where in the country are you as I see you just join the Berkshire region.

Hi, the front indicators are tiny little round dome things on the front under the grill. I'm from Didcot but originally from up north. I joined the Berkshire club coz I'm not far from reading etc, probably joined the wrong one but feel free to point me in the right direction I'm terrible with county borders down here!! The previous owner did go a bit smoothing crazy like! But it's all been welded not just filled and the paint job is half decent so the basis is there for a good project!

Not sure yet. These are steels that have been banded and quickly rattle canned Matt black so they're a bit naff, haven't decided yet, I've got some porsche teledials too but they need refurbishing adapters! Any suggestions always welcome!

so been cracking on a bit today, started on the tired looking engine bay, got the radiator out to replace it and refurb the fan housing, also took off the metering head to clean that up! only got a couple of pictures as my phone died when i was doing some shot blasting!

as you can see its all pretty grubby… will be getting full on into it once ive finished this

right had a little time on the car yesterday…. I swapped my knackered porshe alloys for some tidy powdercoated g60's with mint tyres : )

jacked the coilovers up and stuck those on… huge difference : )

quick update… sadly didn't make mot as we didn't get all the wiring finished behind the dash…. (1 bucket and counting of scrap alarm wires, old stereo connectors and random stuff that doesn't connect to anything!)

had to get a new dash too as mine was pretty knackered! some of the tabs were bust and it was pretty tatty! luckily I live about 10 mins drive from crazy quiffs so they were on hand to suppy a new one : )

will get some pics up when its all fitted together
