steering wheel boss wanted

hi guys, brought a cool Mountney retro steering wheel for the golf, from bugjam auto jumble, only thing is the boss is about 20mm & mk1 looks to be about 17mm, does anyone have a suitable one for sale or swap for this one? cheers 

Hi, sounds like a Mk2 boss you have. You can use one of these adapters on your Mk1 and it should fit
Quite easy and cheap to get, look on eBay. They were fitted to late Mk1's early Mk2's and cabrios??
