Sound deadening horse saddle needed!!

Hi there,
I'm after the sound deadning that goes under the carpet and over the gear stick looks like a horse saddle?
My car is a 83 GTi tintop but I'm sure they are all the same must be in good condition let me know if you have one.

Right… I am going to do mine over winter once I have done a tiny bit of welding and have been looking for best option. Go to Newton Commercial's website. You can order a new complete 5 piece set of under carpet sound deadening for £30 then they also do a self adhesive 6 piece set of bitumen backed sound deadening panels 30cm x 19cm for £25. It's not worth buying second hand for this or using a makeshift version. With the bitumen pads stick one the inside of each door and the rear quarter (unless you have 5 doors). Then two on the inside of the bulkhead and you will get the best set up.

Newton commercial specialise in replacement parts and new original parts. They do complete new carpet sets too.

I have the newton commercial sound deadening kit but not fitted it yet. If anyone has one a 'horse saddle' bit in good condition let me know.
