I have a Ducellier going spare. It has a bit of a oil leak through the centre internals, not much but it has, and the vacuum advance diaphragm is knackered. It has an Electronic ignition kit fitted to it too. £25 plus postage.

Do not know if my budget can stretch that far, but what is the advantages of electronic ignition?

Basically it has no points to get damp/wear out/set the gap on so its bringing 1990's technology to a 1970's car and its electronically calibrated so runs better uses less fuel

Could you do £70 posted  :)
And also do i need any other kit for this electronic ignition?

It cost me £30 to buy and £80 to get it reconditioned.

£90 to help you out.

fits exactly the same as normal dizzy just has 2 additional wires with spade connectors that have to be connected to the ignition coil, plug and play ready to go.

I was quoted £40 by ignition car parts to have my distributor reconditioned, that makes a total of 65 quid for a fully working dizzy. It does work at the moment mind, just the vac advance does not.

if you (mk1golfdriver) send it off to be reconditioned i will buy it after that but dont really want the hassle of sending it off my self.

My budget doesn't stretch that far waterworx, i'm only a poor student :(, £70 is the highest i want to go thanks anyway
