im also planning to put a new 8v engine in over the summer (current one is on 213000 miles and is buggered) and some wide 13" steels to give it that sleeper look!

i also have a mk3 aaz td as my daily driver which broken at the moment lol

ive had it since november but not really driven it because its not reliable  

the person who i bought it off, bought it from someone in weston, is that near torbay?!

Why is it not reliable what problems you got with it ???

sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesnt and when it does run its lumpy as hell and cuts out. and unless im ranting the hell out of it theres bloody sensors going off all over the shop 8O i think its on its last legs, me and my dad have been working on it and it still wont run well.

bet the insurance is a killer mate
when i was 18 with my first mk1 gti iwas paying 1500 insurance fully comp  8O and now im over 25 its al cheap  

it was ?920 a year with HIC and ive got 1 claim and 3 points ops:  

which aint bad really! but ive un insured it cos i got a mk3 aaz td to get me to and from work every day!

Will you be able to make the South West Meet in it on April 15th in Taunton? The Mk1 Golf Owners Club

Looks like a nice motor though, don't give up on it!

i dont think it will be ready by then tbh but i might come along in my mk3 if im allowed just to have a look and a chat! ill never give up on it, im thinking of maybe a 16v engine and i want it ready by summer. then once its in ill worry about wheels and body work

oh ok, na not near torbay but i think i saw it at run to the sun last year, and my mate kicked a football and hit it by accident, no damage though 8O  ops:
