Wife thinks i've gone nuts...(don't quote me on that)
hi all,
been nearly 20 years since i last had one of these but great to have a car that i look forward to get into.
heres a couple of pictures before i start asking questions like "where the hell do i get a haynes manual for a '91 cabby" & "does anyone have a picture of the fuseboard with a legend"
looks great from behind
don't have a go at me for the grille i'm not too keen myself.

very nice…this is what mine should look like after the ?2k coachworks bill I was quoted today…
how much did you pay for the awesome rear lights?
Did you buy the car as is? or have you already been tinkering?
very nice, well done!
Tony
P.S. Haynes Manuals on ebay, I got one today for ?11 delivered. If you can't wait for delivery, ?19 halfords.
Cheers

Bought this as is from a guy who was very desperate for my ?2000.
have already had an offer for it from the mechanic who looked it over AFTER i bought it……too late then i know for a check up but this Mk1 really appealed to me. Coachworks are top notch and a magnet stuck to every part of the car !!
i will be tinkering with it, but mainly for cosmetic reasons rather than mechanical. Really want to change the worn out wheel and interior first.
70 Haynes manuals on ebay but not one of them seems to be for a '91 cab, even after looking at all the covers

Nice car…and grill
If you can afford it, try a Bentley, I've got the mk1 GTi version and used it to rewire my old '82 GTi cabrio.
There is a version for yours too;

Looks a beauty to me.. Like the colour and the shine. Am going to look at a H reg in Sussex today. Was in ebay recently and hopefully it will be a nice one. Looked great in pictures.
Glad you are happy with your purchase and yeah the wife thinks I'm crazy, but have got the young lad on my side…

Hi Pedro , Is there an official name for those alloys , or are the standard for Cabrio. I am not too keen on the alloys in mine but like those on yours.

Local Mark 1
My wife, Judy, owns brilliant A reg Cabriolet GTi (1984). She's a bit snooty about your 'modern' H reg! Thinks it not a proper Mark 1. We live quite nearby, a bit closer to Norwich.
