Wanting to buy a MK1

Hi all!

My name is Alexander, I'm just done with my MK1 Mx5 project and well there is not much more to do with that car, and its more or less uselss here i Denmark in the winters. So I was looking for a cheap car but still cool and I started thinking about a MK1 golf I saw at a show 3 years a go. It was mor or less stock, only thing that was done was new interour, new paint, lowered and some nice rims with low ET (that is stock in my mind).

So there is ofcourse loads of information for me to consume on these pages, but want to start off asking some simple questions and take it from there if its okey..

1. Parts, where to find cheap good, orginal and afthermarked parts online within the EU? (Coilovers, new brakes small orginal styling parts)

2. What is the perfect rim size for this car? Like et, width, inch. And are there any good example on things that works good?

3. What should I look at when buying a MK1 golf, what models are good, wich ones are not so good?

4. Do the MK1 have problems with rust, or other serious problems I should look for since Im going to use it in the winter?

5. Tell me about your car and why you like the MK1? If you want ofcourse nothing is forcing you
