Very excited newbie :)

Hi everyone. Got a mk1 gti almost 2 years ago now, however the car came from Jersey and so had to be registered etc over here and have only just got that all organised this week.
It's a D reg, white convertible, coco chanel special edition and I love it
Needs a wee bit TLC but I think it's pretty awesome

Have already experienced the manic grinning, especially since I've been able to have the roof down today and yesterday, people I pass will be thinking I'm a bit of a headcase with such a crazy look on my face lol.
I can imagine how much will need spent on it but luckily it's all cosmetic. Had it's first ever MOT in its 25 years and passed without even 1 advisory Also the fact it only has 58,000 on the clock doesn't hurt.
Think I may drive my friends and family mad going on about it though lol.

You will drive everyone mad talking about your baby but just remember they're the mad ones for not owning one!!! Did you go to the AGM? 96 mk1's In a convoy yes 96!!! We blocked up a roundabout and half a small town in the process.it's held once a year and it's massive!! did you go?

Lol brilliant. Would have loved to have seen that. Not been to anything with him yet as only got him on the road this week but want to try and get along to some meets etc as soon as possible
