My brother and I recently scattered our dad's ashes and began to wonder what had happened to his ultimate motoring pride and joy. I thought this forum might be worth a try…
He bought a brand new, red, Golf GTI in 1983, and it was his favourite car ever! For good reason, obs!! Unfortunately I am cursed with the same ridiculously good memory as he had, so know the number plate was/is GWR 200Y. We would be incredibly grateful to discover any information about it.
Many thanks.

Form V888 from the DVLA May give you the current owners details or be able to pass on a letter to them.
You have to give a reason for wanting the information.
So historical and family research etc may be an in road.
Also adding the memorial to your late Father.
