New Guy!

Hi All,

Just joined up!  Unfortunately I moved away from the Mk1 and bought a Scirocco… looking for another Mk1 now though!  Fingers crossed this is the place to be!

Stay with the white though, it does looks sharp but then I'm bias!  

Thanks guys!  Its been a great car for me!  I was looking for a mk1 when I saw this and I really couldnt turn down as it only has 55k on the clock and service history from VW every year from new!  Old bloke had it for 20 years and unfortunately his wife couldnt get in it any more as its too low!  The picture doesnt really do it justice but I dont want to bombard a mk1 forum with pics of a scirocco haha!

Im quite open minded.  Possibly buy a mk1 that needs a bit of work doing to it and keep both but if the right one comes up I may look to do a swap / part ex either way!

Just had a flick through and had a look at all the projects going on.  Looks a great forum and some brilliant cars!

Well that one you've got looks and sounds a bit special, so I'd hang on to that if you can.
One like that with that history I would imagine are like 'Chicken Teeth' but moving on!

Thanks guys!  Do love the scirocco but ideally after a tintop gti ideally!  It won't let me post in the wanted section yet.  I think I need to partake in a few more discussions yet which is all good!  Once I can I will stick a post on.  Hoping to get a half decent one that I can do a bit of work on but still drive!

Prices of the mk1s seem to have risen since I last looked.  Still hell of a car for the money though.  Hopefully the sciroccos values shoots up too haha!
