Hey,

My name is Sheridan, and I live in Shropshire.

My first Golf was a Mk1 GLS, actually, it was my first ever car - I've owned a few Volkswagen's since, but it was always a goal to own a Rivage, and 18 years ago (almost to this day) I picked one up which I still own to this day.

I've not done much to it outside of general maintenance and it's pretty much standard spec.

Cheers both,

chortle - I wanted the green one originally, but I couln't find the right one, so settled for the blue one which seems a more common colour, do you know how many they made of each (with the leather) and how many are left?

golf Cabrio 1990 - I'll take some upto date pics this weekend or next, that one was from last year (i think) when it had it's mot.

Hello

Hi Shez
I think about 500 maybe imported?
I've seen a few of these broken over the years too.
Shame really.
Leather was optional extra on the blue versions.
Green came with leather as standard. The Blue ones had two different trim specs especially the later ones which had black carpet.
Plus there was a different engine option on the later ones with a catalytic converter.
Also there's two shades of classic blue pearl metallic paint too.
Sorry that was a bit nerdy lol.
I love the heated seats though, roof down bun warmers on, heater on, windblokker in place.. Cool morning or late evening… Roof down.
Priceless.
