Hi .... from Hove (and Brighton)

 Hi all ……. I'm here really because a friend/neighbour has a red Mark 1 GL (H reg) automatic which she'd like to sell to a good home if possible.

It looks to me to be in very good basic, original condition, having been continuously cared for ….. perhaps one small shallow dent to the body and a very dotty few marks on the upholstery - otherwise it is very clean. The most noticeable thing is a grating noise from the driver's door opening and closing. Not sure about the mileage ….. She's had no problems with it for a couple of years and always goes fine. Not completely sure but it doesn't appear to have any rust.  She's aware that spare parts might be tricky now so thinks it is time for a newer car.

I hope it is ok to raise this here. I renovate old 4x4s myself and hate to see interesting oldish, non-modern cars being scrapped so thought it could possibly be of interest to enthusiasts.

I would be very grateful to hear of thoughts about it - how viable it is now.
