Evening all'

New to the VW scene…my daughter has announced that she wants a Mk1 Golf so here I am looking into the subject. I wanted her to have a Mini but she has other ideas She is only 15 so I have a little bit of time.

Do you know yet what sort of model, engine size and price range you will be looking for?

Or is it to early to tell yet!  

As she will be 17 and it will be her first insurance plicy it will have to be a 1.1 or 1.3 I think.

Not sure on budget yet but what sort of price would a half decent one? Theydont seem to come up often…

Also, does anyone have any experience of insuring one for a 17 year old? Will it have to be standard or are there insurers who insure modified cars at reasonable prices?
