Dont have a MK1 yet, im still in the process but looking to aquire a nice cab for the summer to do up. So if anyone knows anyone that is selling one in the Highland region gimme a buzz. Looking for a phase one model, somewhere from 78-84

Welcome and good luck with the search, for some reason gumtree always seems to throw up a lot of mk1's in Scotland, might be worth a look

Yeah I have 3 saved searches in both the gumtree and eBay apps on my phone. Checking daily lol. It's more a money thing too, I need something I can use to get to work daily but wanting to work on it. I so far have 400 saved so by the time I get to 1000 it should give me more scope to find 1. I'm definitely willing to travel and have already quoted for a trailer hire ( my astra has a tow bar) cracking yellow diesel on ebay just now. Right up my street but will go for loads I reckon.

My advice would be save as much as you can and take your time.

Your need a daily and it will be an old car (a Golf yes) but you need it to get to work and back everyday I guess!  

So please don't rush it, when the right one comes along you'll know it.

It took me 25 years!
