Track a mk1

Hi Guy's I have recently got hold of a mk1 convertible and am trying to find out some history for the car, any ideas where to start.

Doing a HPI check is a good start.

I used to own a mk1 - well I've had 2 actually - YDU 720X & SMU 420Y. Currently I drive an 98 Scotia White Mitsubishi Evolution V RS…. fancy getting another mk1 someday :D

For ?5.00 DVLA will give you a print out of all the previous keepers and dates of new ownership etc. I got mine done when I brought my '84 cabby, wrote to the addresses but didmn't get a single positive reply out of 5 letters. More effort will be undertaken at some point i.e knocking on doors in Lndon, Kent, Herts etc…big effort cause I live in Lancs.
