The Namibian

Hi Guys, just joined.

I live in Namibia (South Africa's Neighbour). I am in the process of building up a 1978 golf mk1 2door. I have big plans for it, 20vt etc. It is taking time and i need the motivation so i joined.
Its pretty tough to build up a euro spec golf in this part of the world, you probably dont think so due to the golfs staying in production here so long, its very easy and cheap to fix up a golf here, but to make it something special and unique is a tough business with all these newer plastic mk1's running around. Plus the 2door models are almost unheard of here nowadays, which means to get the look i want i need to source a lot of euro goodies from overseas (thats u guys  :wink: ) which is not cheap, considering the exchange rate

Anyway, i work full time so spare time is scarce so at the moment building my golf is sort of a hobby/dream that i hope will one day come to see the light!

With your guys motivation and help, im sure i can make the mk1 golf owners club proud
