Stafford newbie
Since i have had it i have bought new cam belt, water pump, points, spark plugs, dizzy cap, changed all the filters and put $ new tyres on. The only thing that seems to be wrong is that the engine is running abit rich but nothing major. Unfortunately MOT is up on the 7th Feb so im hoping it doesnt cost too much to pass it.
At the moment im unable to post any pictures as im having trouble uploading them because of the size and i dont no how to adjust them so any help to do this would be appreciated.
Oh also my clutch pedal has developed an awful screech everytime i press and release it, ive tried wd40 and grease but that doesnt seem to work. Id rather do the work myself than put it in a garage so again any help would be appreciated.
regards Adam

That looks like a really smart Mk1. What are you planning for it? Hope the MOT goes well.
I'd post up your clutch question in the technical sections for some advice (more folks will see it there).

To be honest i really like the car as it is, first things im going to do are get rid of the odd spots of rust, clean up the engine bay and just generally clean it up abit. It has been well looked after but still needs abit of a tidy up. Im also going to change the wheels because even though they look nice i would prefer deep dish wire wheels. So far thats about it but i will post pictures as i change it as im sure i will do more than just that.

Re: Stafford newbie
your mk1 is very tidy, & wheels look smart 8)
that sounds like clutch release bearing, only cost a few quid, but you have to take the gearbox off to change it.AdamM21 said
