Parts

hello all, i have just joined as i am to embark on a full restoration of my 1987 mk 1 golf clipper 1800cc Karmann.
this car only has 35k miles on and it started after 10 years after 10 minutes of trying. i plan to drain all fluids and start again, with replacing all filters and hoses etc. i am however struggling in gettiing the hoses for this. can anyone help or direct me to the correct company?

after i clean the green slime off the car i shall post some pictures.

i hope i am not breaking any rules by asking for assistance on the forum, sorry to say i have never done this before.

cheers
chris

Welcome along Chris,
Have a look at Crazyquiffs, Euro Car Parts, VW Heritage Classic Parts and of course VW's parts dept for new stuff and the classifieds on here for second hand parts.

You can get loads of discount on new your purchases by becoming a paid member for £15 a year ( going up to £20 on 1/1/13)

Ask loads of questions if you're stuck and remember to use the search facility because someone has probably had the issue before!!

Good luck

Dan

Hi Chris and welcome to the forum.

Good luck with the clean up and fluid change. I'm sure you'll be able to find the parts you need either on here, Ebay or those websites Dan suggested above.

Welcome to the forum, where are you? It sounds like a forlorn Mk1 I've been looking at recently in Bury.

Hey welcome

Do get some pictures up - we all love seeing photos  :D  and as aircooled1968 suggests start a build thread to show us your progress, it is also probably the best way for others to visualise any problems you may come across in your build and give any advice if needed. Just make a new topic on 'Your Mk1 Golf Projects'

Cheers
