Why is it that when I look at the front end of a Citi Golf I think I'm looking at a mk2? Have they changed the front end to use a mk2 grille or something? I could probably work this out myself by looking at photos but I guess I'm too lazy! Anyone know the answer?

Well its definitely small citi bumpers but its possibly due to the fact that the badge on the grille is now bigger than before

Welcome Dood. Very nice car. Those wheels are very tasty (what are they?) and I see you have a variation on the rear lights too. I thouht the recent Citis had the blackened top tint lights. Are they aftermarket ?

hey man

thanx for the welcome and compliments

my taillights are aftermarket purchased from www.autostyle.co.za

the rims are of the late 98 spec audi a4, pcd changed to 4x100, lip polished, wheel sprayed, the centre caps are taken off the new type steel rims vw offers on the latest base citi models

edit to add - there is only 3 sets like this in the world

The later SA Golfs have a plastic extension from the bottom of the front bumper (iirc), giving the cars the "mk2" heavy front look.
