Noob Checking In

Hi Everyone

Just a quick hello, I'm Jason from High Wycombe, still got my first car, which is a 1.1 C, which is has been off the road for 4 years, but should be back in the streets in the next few weeks (need to find a ex. manifold!) The car is being treated to a GTI engine and a few suspension tweeks.

Spent the last few years out of the VW scene but am now looking forward to getting back into the car.

Look forward to meeting some fellow mk1'ers through the year

Not got many pics on this PC, but will throw a few up to show my history, the orange golf was a daily drive for a short while, the burgundy one is first car, and my only dub at the moment, and the one which should be on the road shortly.

MrsLawsy I will look into the Berkshire meet, I currently get down to no-rice, in guildford, whats the turn out like in Berkshire, I will have a look at the details and most likely come say 'Hi' at the next meet



 

cool pics mate - welcoem to the club - you got a full set of those unusual alloys - only ever seen one other set and they belong to a guy on here too!!

Berkshire meet varies from meet to meet, one month we get 20 people then following month we get 3 - no pattern at all so i guess its pot luck - its on the 3rd wednesday of every month just south of reading

Lawsy I sold the those flat face wheels made by Flamingo on ebay about 10 months ago so not impossible that the guy on here bought them, spoke to him on the phone and he was putting them on a mk1.

Foxymk1, yeah mate, do you stay in wycombe, I should be going to the next berkshire meet if you wanted to meet up or just pop in for a cup of tea before your dirve back to manc.
