newbie!!

hi all,

Just got my first ever mk1, big Vw fanatic, had 2 mk2s and a vr6 before her but always wanted a mk1 cab.

Now I have got her not sure where to start!

She def needs a new clutch and new gearbox, and I am really tempted to swap the pappy piesburg for a twin weber with 8v manifold.

Eventually, I am going to put some uprated brakes on here, prob g60 ones if i can find some and a nice new stainless then hopefully I wil be satisifeld.

Can anyone reccommend any good garages who know what they are doing with these cars in the North west?

Hiya Natalie welcome to the site.  Why do you need a new gearbox are you sure it's not just needing a gear linkage repair kit (?20 - most mk1's do.. done mine months ago and can select all gears now - guide on the left under technical section).

Sounds like big plans ahead GET IN!!!  Stick a project thread up  :wink:
