newbie with first ever VW,

just took delivery of a 84 (a reg) 1.8 gti, cabby. after viewing it in the dark (always good)  :roll: i was well impressed just a bit of tlc and it will be a very good example, lost a centre cap off one of the p-slots on the first test run tho  :cry:  £995 i will post pics when i figure it out. will have to get some advice however as when warm its not idling or running right.

id be happy with that for £995!!!
i paid over £2000 for mine lol just dread to think how much ive put into her since but it has been worth all the blood sweat and tears.

dunno yet, theres a few niggly bits that need sorting, a service first, heaters need attention, (wiring up!), seat cables have snapped, and just small electrical problems, like petrol gauge, have already done about £200 on it, with a baby on the way and facing redundancy, i have to be careful! but the missus is supportive. Its already worth every penny! Its my first VW and i cant see myself ever getting bored of it.
