Newbie Northern Ireland

Hi There.

I'm currently on a ferry in Liverpool about to set off back to Belfast, having driven up from London in my new mk1 golf. It's a GL with a 1.6 engine running twin 40 Delortas. Had loads of fun driving it up to Liverpool this afternoon can't wait to get it home and start working on it, I was thinking of G60 conversion but loved the twin carbs so much I might just stick a the head on a 2.0 bottom end. The car is pretty solid just needs bit of tidying up. I will probably have loads of question over the next few months.

Thanks Mark

Hi mark and indeed welcome to the club.  :D

What a nice spin in a mk1 London - Belfast… I like it…

Plenty of mk1 guys around the Belfast area have a look at the members map on the left of your screen.

Don't forget Dubshed is on 25th March - going to have a few mk1's meeting up at this event.

Enjoy the remainder of your trip home…

Cheers Hugh.

Welcome aboard..sorry is that just wrong. I hope your crossing was better than mine last December, must have been the worst day of the year.. Have fun with your car and hopefully see it at Dubshed.
