Newbie needs help

Hello all I'm new to the forum I've just bought my first mk1 golf 1.3 driver the guy I bought it off told me that the soledx carburettor needed changing as its a solex he supplied me with a a brand new weber carb , problem is its for a 2.3 land rover  I'd there any step by steps on how to plunmb one in how to change jets on the carb ? Where to get the jets from ? And will in run still if it's for a landrover ? Any help would be much appreciated
