Newbie moving to cornwall

Hi all, fairly new mk1 cabby owner just wanted to say hey to all the enthusiasts!

Im located in Basingstoke at the mo but moving down to Newquay in a few weeks so may see some of you at RTTS?
Got hold of a run down H reg Karman clipper not long ago and its fair to say that i think its turning into a complete obsession!!!! Just been tidying it up etc but the bank balance is taking a big hit unfortunately, must be love haha.

Will post some pics soon (after ive washed it) and also got a couple of questions to pick your brains if its ok? will post in relevant sections i gather.

Anyhow, gotta run but will try and get some shots up soon.

good effort jeffers

they will never cost you what you thought, as there will always be something you want to do, sort or make cleaner :-)

i got my first one last april, and if i had a garage big enough would have had 2 cabbys and a tin top in there by now, as have seen some lovely bargain that i just didnt have the room for

think im gona be at Plymouth Volksfest the RTTS weekend but sure you will meet some of the guys soon

Hi mate,
Yeah tell me bout it, its taken alot of elbow grease and t-cut to bring the paint up to scratch but its not looking too bad now. Cleaned up the interior and reattached the knee board etc so looks tidy inside.
Got a new hood fitted the other week, and already put some new rims on, ATS cups 8j x 15 et18!!!
Think i was getting a little carried away at that point but they seemed to fit ok  :D  But i think i need some spacers on the back as the front sticks out a little further, the only thing is im a little worried about them falling of as the didnt seem to sit on the hub very far and if i put spacers on im not sure if it will fit???
Other than that, got some coilovers on the way and some new chrome side trim on order! that might have to be it for a while and let the bank recoup a bit. Just gotta stay off ebay

Oh yeah, forgot about the new grill, headlights, rear lights, various engine bits and bobs to get her running, and an eye brow (which im still not too sure about?)  its all adding up  8O

Thanks for the reply though bud, will hopefully catch up with a few of the members down cornwall some time.

you know if its love cos you want to spend all your time with them and spend all your money on them, and tell them how special they are, try talking dirty they love it, like im going to slowly take your top down, im gonna get you purring, fill you with lubricants, then rag the granny out of you.  SOMETIMES IT EVEN WORKS WITH WOMEN :)

my advice is to buy hubcentric spacers mate, they have the 57.1mm diameter spigot to hold the rim on and come with the extended bolts to suit, saw a set of 4 on ebay for 125 quid, i am in the steel fab game myself and i couldnt make them for that so well worth it, the flat spacers are ok but i always felt worried when i had them on my old mk1
