Newbie - Mk1 Clipper
Hey everyone. Despite owning this car for 5 or 6 years, I have not joined to date, although I have searched the tech forums many times. My cabby now sports a Weber 32/34 thanks to the good advice of you guys out there. Man, what a difference! The car has been sorned (but MOT'd) for a couple of years while we had a couple of sprogs, but it back on the road now (sort of, currently up on stands getting new calipers and brake lines).
The car is a 1988 clipper, with only 70k on the clock, and it is solid. I have garaged it from when I bought it to keep it that way. No mods other than the weber. the hood is a little tired, but I only use it in the dry, so it does not bother me. Can anyone tell me if the alloys are original. They say Sportline on them.
Cheers for now

Hi and welcome!
Nice car you have there. 8) I would put your wheel query into the Mk1 Golf Chat section. There's a lot of soft-top experts, so you should get some help there. And wack a Parts Wanted post up for your arch trim.

HI All,
thanks guys. Forgot to mention the roof was off an older (A reg) car. The original was grey, and in tatters when I bought it.

Very tidy, the wheels look great on the car and are aftermarket items.
