Newbie From Somerset

HI.
Been rstoring my mk1 golf for over a year now and hopefully some one can help me with this.
Iv had to remove the scuttle pannel within the engine bay due to rot. This had my chassis number on it which i kepted but how and where do i go about putting it back on???
Iv seen loads of mk1s with this pannel removed so there must be a way.
Any Ideas??

the chassis plate is normally on the front slam panel where the bonnet catch is.. so it should be there.

I havent got that plate either. The car had been layed up for nearly 4 years before i got my hands on it. Can i get a new chassiss plates for it from vw???

:dontknow: not too sure mate… I'd be a bit concerned that it had no chassis plates or numbers though.  :?
