Newbie From Scotland

Hi All

Finally became a Mk1 owner on Monday. Its a Y Reg GTi in Black and is very much a work in progress. Needs some welding, front panel, wing, bodywork, interior bits etc, etc but i cant wait to get started as soon as this weather improves.

It wont be long before i'm asking questions so thought i'd say hello before i start hassling you all

Welcome to the site mate!!!!   What is that hanging near the back wheel?

My green gti is proper rusty so hopefully your bodywork isn't too bad.  Look forward to seeing your updates.  If you are getting panels, insurance, parts etc it'll be worth while becoming a fully paid member (£15)…. this month I saved £50 alone on parts with the members discount!!  Up to you but glad you are keeping another mk1 on the road  :wink:

Bodywork is in pretty good shape rust wise but has a lot ofatks on the paint. The thing hanging Dow. Is a pair of vice grips on the fuel pipe!
