I no longer have the Mk1!! I now whizz round in a Black 1990 3dr Mk2 GTi 8v but the roof doesn't fold back when the sun shines :o

Thought I let you guys have a squiz at my baby….

got her back from the macky reconed the motor still running 1.5 but with a twist newer model (2008) 1.4 carb head (better flow and gives better compression ratio) ff box but am thinking of changing it as the motor itself doesn't have enough power for the long ratios. will probably in time change over to a FFZ or DGG box as I think it will work better for the motor. have branch and free flow which also helps a bit on the performance side

the car has the following:

  • 40mm drop shortened springs no coils
  • motor was done
  • 16" steels narrow and wides for the bakgat stance
  • Michillen (not sure on spelling) 195/45 16 for the stretched look
  • chrome Audi door handles

no it's not finished yet still need to do the interior but looking for beige suede and do have it resprayed

here in SA we had a breakfast run where the pic was taken the tail behind me is the okes partaking in the run
