newbie from notts looking to purchase a mk1

hi everyone im looking to purchase a mk1 i normally like standard with no mods, my budget is 4k, what can i expect to get for this money??

just selling my xr2 mk2 at the moment, if anyone interested lol





























she comes with 12 months mot and never welded. i have spent a fortune on her, she will be on ebay soon. just fancy a golf gti mk1, but trying to find a good one thats why i have joined the forum.
 still got the original ford exhaust on the rear and carello 640 spotlights.

Heyup mate. Welcome to the club. You should be able to find yourself a pretty tidy mk1 with that budget tbh, depends if you want standard or mod. That XR2s the dogs undercarriage too!! Wouldnt mind that myself!
