Good evening folks,
Fi here from N.I , great site btw i used the mk 1 golf owners club manual on buying a cabriolet just a couple of days ago when buying my latest baby, i didnt turn up with the checklist tho lol,
so we can start with info on me im 21 and a trainee in signmaking in bangor co down, i own a 206 boo… lol and as of thursday evening a 1989 mk golf cabriolet clipper, i love her to pieces named her cee cee, shes completley mint inside and out and thats how im keeping her, i may do some slight mod's with the lights etc but my main aim is to keep her as clean and looking good as possible, shes only 80,000 miles on the clock not bad for an 18 yr old car,
and i bought her with a full history which tells me in her life shes lived in england, scotland, the isle of man, and now n ireland, orignal panasonic tape deck and steel's. she just went tho mot and recently got a new roof fitted.
Only one bad bit she has a little touch of rust in two places both about an inch square they have been filled in but need touched up soon, but considering the condition of the rest of her that dosent bother me much.
Heres a wee pic or 2 to get your mouth watering lol
p.s hoping to apply for membership on here on payday, also i noticed in the merchandise section there is no fleeces or jackets? is that no the first thing people would want rather than hoodies or mugs? any plans to make any fleeces or jackets?

Fi, welcome to the site!
That's an amazingly clean looking cabby you've got there. Between you and me, I'm not a fan of the soft tops, but that one looks great.
Health to enjoy! Dom
PS - have I seen you on NBOC or Rule6? I recognise your name.. if not, sign up! www.rule6.co.uk NI forum.

Very clean and original looking Cabbie. Notice she has three round gauge clocks where mine has the electric roof button. She is a smashing car and hope you enjoy it. Was in Fermoy Co Cork yesterday and there were around 20 Mk 1s there at the show.

Thank you all, ive just had to put her to sleep for a couple of days as shes not insured yet and birds keep doing their business on her roof grrrr, so shes all covered up atm, ill bring her a cuppa in the morning tho before i head out lol, there not bbs's unfortunatly just look alot like them there eps? i think, will invest in some real bbs's tho in the future, yes shes very very clean , and the gauges where your roof controls are dont do much but they look good lol, its all manual roof but its handy enough.
have to get her out to a wee show soon let her meet some other cab's.
