Newbie From Hertfordshire

Hi to all i`m dave and join a few months back but found time to write a post.

I`m the owner of a 1983 1.3driver 3dr tintop, Bought just before xmas as a rolling shell with pretty much  everything missing lol

This years mission is to get it all back together and drop a 1.3 back so then can start enjoying it.

This is what it looks like when i got it and now as waiting for weather to get better

Welcome, love the colour, looks like you've got your work cut out with that one, is it solid underneath and more of a putting everything back in job?

Thanks guys for the welcome, I will be keeping the colour as its being painted inside and out with it(also came with spare paint aswell).

The shell has had a small patch of welding on drivers side floor plan but other than that is pretty sound. Didnt have carpets when went to buy so got to see all the  floors first.

Lots to do on it as was sat for awhile so needs all new brakes, bushes etc. Already has a rear disc conversion done.

Picked up a new 1.3 engine for it last weekend so when the weather gets better( wishful ) can sort the engine bay out and bolt her.

The hardest part is going to be sourcing parts,nuts,bolts etc as i didnt come with any!!

Plans are to fit new wiring loom as old one was cut to hell and engine,and …well put whole car back together to get it on the road.

Fair amount of work then! The colour should look good when car is tidied, not many about in that either! I reckon original rear lights would suit it well too

Make sure you hook-up with others in your region too

Hello and welcome to the club. That's a great little mk1 you got, sounds like it'll keep you busy for a while but that's what we love about them!
