heya guys, just saying hi seeing as im a newbie, names Benji bought my golf 1.8 gti last year, its a work in progress at the moment as there is quite alot to get it sorted. anyhow thats me....ta

im down in a lil town called Newton Abbot! home to the best cider bar in the country! lol, there is quite a scene down here for volkswagens, i have loads of friends that are obsessed with the things! but im the only owner of a mk1 in the group. most of my friends have mk2's or 3's, think there is about 30 of us that meet up when we can to share like minded views and help eachother out as much as we can when we have motoring nightmares. as for mine PHT 81Y, she is getting loads of tlc every saturday when im not working, just fitted a new fuel pump, gear linkage kit, steering rack boot, and she got some new boots! apart from that she is a dream runner. and the fact it burnt my armpits like hell with petrol changing the fuel pump and i stank no matter how much i showered! next is a full respray and engine rebuild so she can grace our roads for many years to come.

Dude, its a small world and getting smaller by the minute…..of course I'm refering to the fact…I live in Newton Abbot too…  

 I haven't seen any other MK1's about in NA apart from a couple of white cabs ? And I rarely see any 2's about, theres a gorgeous Tornado red zippin about thou  :cheer:

hahaha how strange, yeah mine is off the road as we speak gunna start preping it for spraying. where abouts in newton are you from…?

just up in buckland, couldnt say bout the tornado red mk2, alot of my mates who drive dubs..live around exeter or exmouth. couple of guys i no live in bristol and plymouth.

I nearly bought an ice blue cab with cream leather seats from Exmouth last summer…shucks..the one that got away
