Newbie from Derby

Hello everyone

I don't currently own a Mk1 but i will be looking to make the purchase at somepoint early next year (i'm driving a lupo at the moment)
i'v joined the forum to help my resarch into mk1's. i plan on having it as a project/weekend car so the main thing i'm looking from when i come to buy is a solid shell. i was wanting at least 150bhp and from the research i'v done so far the esiest way to get this would be to get a 2.0 block AGG,3A ect and use a 8v gti head with abit of work done to it ,so thats the plan so far. i will start collecting the bit's to biuld the engine as soom as  i have finalised what parts i need, at the moment i don't realy know what engine mounts fit what engine,or what gearbox's can be used. so i'd like to find out all this before i get started.
