Yeah. Bought the car from a lady in Colchester. Only got to drive it home tho as run out of petrol. hasn't been started since. Been told there's something blocked in the line so waiting to get someone out to fix it.
Plans are a full re-spray, coil overs, re-trim to a factory cloth or leather, wheels and new bits and bobs.. Looking for chrome grill, and trims and chrome metal bumpers at the moment..
Yeah. I'll keep a eye out. Would love to come to a meet and meet other mk1 members and get advise on my car

Welcome,
Nice tidy unmolested example there.
Don't see to many about.
I would save the parts you may take off, so I'd you ever decide to sell you can put it back to standard.
A good find indeed.
Cheers

Thanks… It has a few moss area's on it.. Round the windows and rear lights.. Gonna Start taking bits off and giving them a very good clean.
Its a shame about the roof. Quiet a few dents in it! And the roof lining had massive holes in it.
As far as i know it was dry stored for 10years! Only rust ive found is a few scabs in the boot next to the bottle (Is it the washer bottle?!) And the big dents on the roof which are surface rust..

On the plus side its a non sunroof tin top which is a massive bonus ! Yeah thats the washer bottle dude.
As mentioned keep the parts you take off and take them off carefully, some mk 1 bits are becoming hard to find esp trim items.
The plans sound good !!

I've sorted the black trims. Few are not in the best condition but still gonna keep them
Been offered a set of chrome trims for £50? Worth it?
