Hi guys! just in the process of saying goodbye to my 1999 Audi A3 t Sport and hello to my 1981 Golf Cab which I pick up on Saturday.

no pics just yet will stick some up at weekend, im pretty sure its been on here b4, its a 1981 gld Cab diesel which is supposed to be one of only a few im am told, i am trying to do some research at the moment to see if this is infact true. Apparently it is genuinely from the factory as part of a special order in 81 for several diesel versions.

Hi I've just joined too.  I picked up my mk 1 golf cab last Saturday, it's also an 1981 diesel.  I think mine may have had an engine conversion though because the engine code is jr….. looks like it might be out of a mk2 golf but i'm not sure.  How did you find out about these genuine diesel ones?

I will stick some pics up in a minute, apparently this is how it came out the factory along with another 5 i think, a special order so im told. but im still investigating as I want to get to the bottom of this.
