Newbie :D

Hi all

Im new to the mk1 owners club but im not new to vdubs and mk1's  

Im South african and ive been living in Scotland for the last 3 years. Ive owned 2 mk1 golf's back home, a mk3 gti golf in Scotland and now ive got a mk1 golf driver  
The mk1 is gonna be my first project and im hoping to start it soon

Hi and welcome one of the other new folk on here is from your neck of the woods Edinburgh you could contact him about a meet I will look who else is in your area so you can attend some meets etc

Im from durban its about a 4 maybe 5 hour drive from Joburg. Ive been to joburg 100's of times cause i was a pro swimmer for 10years.

I plan to get it stripped and get any rot or rust fixed, then get it resprayed. Once thats all done then ill be getting a ABF engine to drop in, ill probably stick twin webbers on it, upgrade brakes, suspension and i might import the new rounded style mk1 dash board from south africa for my golf, still thinking about that.
My mind keeps changing tho cause i keep thinking about new ideas on what to do but i think im gonna stick to this plan   hopefully
