Newbie, but actually really old in every other respect

Hey All,

Just thought I'd drop a line and introduce myself. I'm not too big on internet forums, however I've read some real useful tips on here, and I might add I'm always pleasantly suprised at the genuine interest in the Mk1's. Personally, I bought my first Golf GTi (1600) in 1982, I sold this to a friend and replaced it with a Campaign version in Dec 85. I still own this car and although at times I feel for a change, I still enjoy driving it and it has never failed to return me home.

Hi Scully

Welcome to the club and thank you for paying up and joining!

Don't worry about being old, there's quite a few of us older ones here! :)

It's great to hear that you owned your MK1 for so long, it would be great to see some photos of her if you have any?

You say you're not big on forums so in case you need any tips on posting up pics there's a how-to thread in the Newbie section of the forum.

Enjoy your time here and hope we get to see your Campaign soon

Cheers
Andy :)
