Newbie, Bangor North Wales.

Hi folks, i'm not only new to this forum but new to VW's, so i may need a bit more help than others on here with the odd few things. I've been into minis in the past but have decided to face facts and get the car of my young boy dreams.
I've gone and bought myself a cabriolet, it's only a 1.1 but first thing to do is get it on the road and at some stage get a bigger engine. It needs a fair bit of work but hopefully (with some of your help) it'll soon be on the road, and i'll be turning up at a few meetings.

a 1.1 cabriolet never heard of one of these!! must have had a engine change at some point

well i've got v5 and everything so touch wood everything is as it seems, i know it's not standard as there is a gti steering wheel and the bumpers and arches sugest it's not a 1.1 and the badge is missing from the back.

Don't plan on doing much to it at the moment other than getting it back on the road. Once that's sorted then i'll look at my finances and see what i can do with regards to interior, engine and maybe some new wheels.
Anyway i look forward to meeting other members, hopefully it'll be sooner rather than later!!!

Welcome to the site bud, looks nice, my guess is maybe its had an engine conversion at some points and someone changed it properly on V5 with DVLA to get insurance costs down.

Look tidy though, best of luck with it, think there is a show in Aug in Wales which some of us are thinking of going to, so keep you updated.
