newbie and car :)
i just bought my first mk1 cab (had a few tin top mk1 and 2 golfs) the sun was beaming down HARD on monday and i saw this at the side of the road for sale with the standard 13 wheels painted satin black and thought……….gota have it
its had £680! spent on it in the last 2 years inc new roof, alternater, front discs and pads, rear shoes, drums and brake pipes, carbarter and a service inc cam and alternater belt.
its a dog to drive with its wolloy suspension and bucket of brick style gear change but that will all be sorted soon.
i want to get a big chin spolier and clear outer and inner headlights and maybe cheap coilovers to help with the boat feel!!
i put the porker rims on as they were on my cavalier mk2 (got 3 of these) they have been machined to remove the pattern/groove around each of the slots and look a bit different to the other 928 wheels ive seen.
so if i can pick your brians could i ask what a gl didnt get and what a gti did apart from the injection of course
its guttless but i love it, somthing about it just makes me love it.
oh im 38 and fully comp it was £123.
well let me know what you lot think and hope to hear from you all soon
thanks dave

looks like your rough ride is because the top mounts need changing.
If you do change make sure get genuine febi mounts.
