Hello, just signed up.  Owned my 1980 karmann gli cab with wolfsburg interior with 68000 miles on it for about 2 years.  Its 5spd, cone dials totally standard no rust.  only wanted one for 10 yrs.

Thanks for the welcome.  now i can bore you with the history of my car……. Saw a fat bloke towing it up and down a road where i was working trying to start it after a bang and some smoke it went i asked him if it was for sale he said ?500 (no mot and only running on 3) so i laughed and he parked it by the fence right where i was working for 3 months. after uming and arring offered ?350 and he bit my hand off. Got it running, mot'd new hood ?350, 4 new tyres etc….will sort some pics its got milge on th steering wheel in my garage at the mo. Found all mots, bills etc in the boot but no service history. these were in it……

Two things you'll never see on modern version of the above leaflets -

1. Fuel leaflet: Point 4.
2. Service coupon: 'Christian name'.  (Ooh how very un-PC  :roll: )
