New to this! also have a question...

hey guys
i'm very new to all this! but thought i'd say hi!
i have a little '83 golf c, which i adore! [picture of it as my avatar]
have done a few things to it since i bought it, mainly restoration, because i think it's in too good a state to mess about with too much! [almost 100% original]
just thought i'd join up and have a chat etc!

one question… which vws have the same bumpers as the mk1? if any? i've checked out some early polo ones, but unsure if they are the same size or not, due to not having a tape measure in my pocket haha
reason being that my front bumper bracket is bent pretty bad on one side and i think it might be easier to replace it rather than try and bash it back into shape!
or is it easier to get a new one? *shrug* i don't know! help!

i think the brackets that hold the bumpers into the car are unique.. so you would have to replace it (bashing = wrong)

BUT you would probably have to get pattern ones (http://www.golfmk1.co.uk) because the rears are discontinued from vw

Hi and welcome to the site, best bet about bumpers is to give crazyquiff a buzz next week when he's back form holiday, he has new pattern and usedbumpers of all different shapes and sizes, should be able to help you out
