I forgot to ask if anyone can direct me to a website that will show me standard pics and specifications for the 1982 MK1 GTI CABRIO.

This website??? Someone else is bound to have the same model and year, and could list things. There's also the car register, you could search in there to find a car of same spec and year.

Its mainly US based but lots of Cabrio info here;
