new to all this and justpoping in to say hi to everyone.  bought a mk1golf last year,  rolling shell, ex-show winner I was told back in the day, minimum rust if any had a resto back then so that has saved it big time we'll I'll stop there and let the good times roll :-)) ;-)

Thanks.  and yeah bought her as a rolling shell and atmosphere I'm building a 1.8 20v turbo so I guess it's getting fitted to this,
Colour is nugget yellow but planning to change. 
Bought another mk1golf 1.1 tin top full car and I required all parts I needed and then sold it again didn't want to scrap a mk1 :-( 
Plan on restoring the body and making her look nice 

Enjoy, will get pictures of when I bought her soon 
But if anyone knows anything about this golf please contact me as I'd like to know how it was before I got it
