NEW OWNER OF '88 VW GOLF GTI IN METALLIC SILVER

Just to say I am now a member of this club due to no small part to the friendly welcome and the excellant information on how to buy a cabriolet. I think it's so important that we support our marque club as there is always the threat from the EU of ridding older cars off the road. The more members there are, the louder the voice is! I have joined many forums but this one in particular is one of the best. For those who wonder why my name is TRIUMPH66 is simply because of three things. the first is that I was born in 1966, the second is that I use to own a '66 Triumph Herald and last but not least England won the the World Cup in 1966. Of course 2010 will see England win again…………

Collected my car this afternoon from Plymouth and absolutely thrilled to bits with it. Apparently it's sunny on Sunday, so may go for a run with the family topless! Will post a picture of the car  within a week.

I know how you feel, then I brought my first cabby, many years ago,
the roof was down for a week, I picked it up on the 18th of December.
