New MK1 restorer!

Hey everyone, I have just started my MK1 restoration and thought it would be good to sign up and get some info and inspiration from you guys (and take advantage of the classifieds!)

I'll have to get a digital camera sorted so I can get some pictures posted up, I have an '83 Mars Red GTI that has been physically abused, somone has tried to smooth the body line where the trim sits, criminals! They did a terrible job too, im in the process of removing a kg of filler from it now!

You sound seriously annoyed… so it's going to be the original look your after there then?  Nice one!!!  Glad to have you on board and get those pics up when you can.  There is a guide for this in the newbie section if you get stuck or simply pm me  :wink:

I started to strip it today, I need more space! Tons of family junk in the garage isnt helpful!

Ahh well, i'll plod on….

I took some pictures but somehow stupidly deleted them so i'll get more tomorrow, Cheers
