new mk1 owner south west

just a quick introduction, ive just been bitten by the mk1 golf bug. just got rid of my mk4 gti turbo and now aquired a tidy mk1 golf gti. 1982 blue in colour, coilovers but running steel wheels. 16v kr engine which is fitted very well, proper exhaust manifold etc. needs a few bits of tidying up but is sound. needs an exhaust from the manifold back though. will get some pics up when ive sorted some wheels out for it.

Golf looks nice. Got any plans for her after you have done the exhaust or are just going to run her how she is?

fuse box is so wet i cant get it started properly keeps popping n banging, exhaust which the guy i bought it off told me needed a back box, completly fell apart when i took the rear box off. so its gone from just behind the manifold back. door seals on the doors ( if it has any) are not there so rain just pours inside. apart from that its fine, looks sound underneath and no rot in the floors etc.
just need to find an exhaust system to match the rest of it. was going to sell it but got to keep going with it, i think they are wicked looking cars.
