New Mk1 Golf owner! Lowering info needed plz.

Hi everyone,
This is my first ever post…Below is my recently purcased Mk1 Golf GTI Cabriolet.
I just wondered if anyone could help me with lowering information. Ive ordered
some adjustable coilovers that will go as low as -120mm, ive just checked the wheels
and theyre 15's (195/50/R15). How much could i lower the car without the wheels rubbing?
Any info would be great thanks

the trick is in the title. 'adjustable'


go as low as you want, if your tyres rub, go back up abit. if not, go abit lower.

there are no rules to this.

With a Clipper kit fitted I had issues with my ATS Cups with only a 40mm drop. I had to do a little arch work at the rear, not much though.
