New Mk1 Golf Cabi Owner From Preston Lancs
I have always been a golf fan, I have had 2 mk3 golfs, mk4 golf and an 04 passat. Thought i would try and brave something a little more adventureous. Gives me some time away from the misses too!
I have just purchased a 1982 VW Golf Cabi 1.6 GLS. It is riddled with electrical faults and needs some serious attention to the body work but for a little over £400 can't grumble too much!
I dont really know much about these so expect lots of posts to go up in the electrical forum especially! Well until all the stuff currently not working do, then it will be onto mechanial, has an overheating problem too. Though i think thats down to the sensor on bottom of the plastic part of the rad!
Well that's me, if there's any meets or parts going begging let me know always up for a bargain!
Cheers
Lee

Bob a photo up when you can so we can see what you've got.
Don't be afraid to ask questions, we've all been in your situation at some point! Use the search facility at the top of the page and FAQs at the bottom if the forum.
Keep an eye in the regions section for meets. You can ask questions in person then and maybe obtain parts!!

I'd consider a mobile auto electrician if you're not good at electrics as you could be on it for hours without a result.
